I Was Right (“we”) helps you write dated predictions and email yourself a reminder. We collect as little as we can to run that loop.
What we collect
Email address (required for reminders), the prediction text and check date you submit, visibility (private by link or public), optional account data from Auth0 (email, name, user id) if you sign up, and a guest identifier stored in this browser so you can see “My predictions” before you create an account.
How we use it
To create and show your predictions, send the reminder email via Mailgun, merge guest predictions into your account after login, and compute simple accuracy stats and the public leaderboard from public resolved predictions.
Processors
Auth0 (login), Neon (Postgres), Mailgun / Netlify Emails (reminders), and Netlify (hosting). We do not sell personal data.
Cookies and local storage
Essential cookies keep you logged in. This browser may store guest prediction ids and a cookie-notice flag. See the Terms.
Retention
Predictions stay until you archive them or we are required to delete them. You can archive your own cards from the prediction page. Account deletion is not self-serve in v1 — contact the site operator if you need an account removed.
